Singapore Management University marks its 12th anniversary celebrations today. Patron's Day is the day the SMU community gets together to celebrate the university's birthday.
Patron's Day 2012 is also the first homecoming for Singapore 's newly-elected President, Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam, in his new role as SMU Patron. President Tony Tan spent three decades shaping Singapore's higher education landscape during his tenure as a Cabinet minister.
Patron's Day 2012 will coincide with The U+Arts Show, a 'live' talk show at T-Junction featuring humourous reflections on university life by SMU students, and performances by Broadway Beng Sebastian Tan, Adrian Pang, Jack and Rai, Vocaluptuous, and Kumar.
