When it comes to showcasing the vibrancy of student life, SMU spares no effort on stage production. The glitz and glamour leaves the audience in awe, especially for SMU’s President, Arnoud De Meyer, who has just taken office at the time of this photograph. After watching the performances, Professor De Meyer said in jest, “I wanted to ask the students to study hard and play hard. But after watching all these wonderful performances, I wonder whether it’s still necessary to ask them to play hard!”
